Project Delivery Manager

Drive the delivery of projects shaping Australia's housing future
Housing Australia is at the forefront of addressing one of the nation's most critical challenges- providing greater access to social and affordable housing and significantly impacting national housing supply.

As our Project Delivery Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects across the More Homes portfolio are delivered efficiently, transparently, and with impact.

This is your opportunity to work at the intersection of government, development, and construction-helping shape outcomes that matter.

The Opportunity
As part of the newly formed Project Delivery Unit, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the delivery performance of a portfolio of national housing projects. You'll provide real-time insights into project progress, identify risks early, and support informed decision-making at a senior level.

You won't just deliver projects-you'll oversee, analyse, and influence a diverse national portfolio, working across government, developers, builders, and community housing providers to ensure outcomes are achieved. You'll ensure delivery oversight is coordinated, effective, and adds real value across the program.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date view of project delivery across the housing portfolio, including milestones, construction progress, risks, and completion forecasts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, builders, and community housing providers
  • Identify delivery risks and underperformance, and prepare clear escalation advice
  • Undertake site visits where required to validate progress and inform delivery assessments
About You
You are a detail-oriented and commercially aware project professional with strong experience in construction or development environments. You will bring:
  • Experience in construction, development, or project management, with a strong understanding of delivery lifecycles
  • Background in project monitoring, contract administration, or reporting roles, ideally within residential or government-funded projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and drive collaboration
  • Strong experience building data reporting frameworks - including systems to gather, process, cleanse, analyse and report - into trusted business as usual processes
  • Clear and concise communication skills, particularly in preparing reports and escalation advice
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (construction, project management, or related field); professional certifications (e.g. AIPM, RICS, AIQS, PMP) highly regarded
Why Housing Australia?
You will be part of a purpose-driven organisation delivering real social impact and work across a diverse national portfolio of housing projects. If you're passionate about delivering meaningful outcomes and want to play a key role in shaping Australia's housing landscape, we'd love to hear from you.
Benefits include:
  • Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in office typically)
  • Access to discounted gym memberships/health & wellbeing program
  • Additional leave days (up to 8 days per year)
  • Annual $500 wellbeing benefit
  • Access to learning and professional development opportunities
